How to Apply

Submit the completed application form (pdf), accompanying documents and the non-refundable $50 application fee (credit card payment form (pdf) to the English Language Institute. Applications missing supporting documentation will not be processed until all documentation has been received. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the program is full. Applications are processed within two weeks of receipt.

Admission Requirements

Education

An undergraduate degree from an accredited University is required. International applicants, Canadian citizens, and permanent residents with international education are required to provide an equivalency evaluation provided by an approved organization such as , or .

Language Proficiency

Applicants whose first language is not English must provide proof of language proficiency. Required scores are below.

Exemptions

Applicants who have completed a TESL Canada Standard I approved program or a TESL Ontario CTESOL approved program may be eligible for exemption from TESL 1. Completion of a Comparative Review is required (fee: $150).

All applicants applying for exemption must submit a completed Program application, all required supporting documents, the application fee ($50) and submit a copy of your certificate, a detailed subject outline and daily breakdown of course hours, including detailed information about the practicum component. You may be required to complete assignments to cover missing curriculum content.
