Admission Requirements - Home Schooled Applicants

If you have been home schooled:

  1. Apply to Seneca through . Once you have your Ontario College Application Number,
  2. Complete Seneca’s Supplementary Application Form for Home-Schooled Applicants (PDF) and save/email or print and return to the Admissions Office; OR
  3. Fill in the form in the Applicant Portal. Instructions on how to access this portal are sent to all applicants once Seneca has received their application.

The supplementary application form documents your academic achievement. Seneca will consider applicants whose home-schooling is equivalent to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, including any specific course requirements as stated in the Seneca College calendar. You may be required to write a pre-admission test in English or Mathematics if equivalencies cannot be determined.

Many of Seneca's highly competitive (oversubscribed) programs have additional selection criteria in place, and home schooled applicants will be subjected to the same evaluation as all applicants to competitive programs. You will be notified of any additional selection criteria for admission to competitive programs after you submit your application.
