Seneca's Global Hospitality Business Development program will position you to be a sought-after professional in one of the most service-driven industries in the world. You'll learn key business development practices and be able to identify the opportunities and challenges of conducting business in today's technology-based markets. Whether in traditional high demand areas or emerging markets, gain the knowledge and skills to succeed in a culturally diverse global environment – allowing you to work anywhere in the world.

Explore an MBA - International Study Abroad Opportunity

This program provides an opportunity to earn an MBA in Global Hospitality Business Development from IMI International Management Institute Switzerland in Luzern. IMI is one of the leading Hotel and Tourism Management schools in the world.

Once you've completed your graduate certificate in Global Hospitality Business Development at Seneca, you can apply to IMI for one-term (11-week) to complete the MBA program. The MBA in Global Hospitality Management is an international degree that will prepare you to further progress within your management career in the industry.

Integrated Project/Field Placement

Integrated Fieldwork is an integral element of your program, providing a way to integrate classroom learning in real business situations – honing your skills and helping you build a network of contacts ahead of graduation. You'll benefit from completing real business projects in professional setting. This component is critical to your success and a requirement to graduate.

Your Career

As a program graduate, you'll be equipped with the tools and techniques to find work in a wide range of hospitality, travel and tourism related roles including: Corporate Hospitality Associate, Corporate Travel Buyer, Hospitality/ Tourism Business Development Manger, Hotel / Tourism Account Manager, Project Manager – Planning, Tourism Destination Manager, Experience Manger, Hospitality or Tourism Relationship Manager, Hospitality /Tourism /Travel Sales Coordinator, and Marketing Assistant Manager among others.

Take your newly developed skills and knowledge back home to broaden your employment prospects or you may be able to extend the duration of your Canadian experience by obtaining a 1-3 year post-graduate work permit.

Work-Integrated Learning - Optional

Optional Work Term

Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional work term(s) in a formal work environment.  The work term(s) is similar in length to an academic semester and typically involves full-time work hours that may be paid or unpaid. In programs with limited work term opportunities, additional academic requirements and a passing grade on a communication assessment may be required for eligibility.  Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the optional work term stream regardless of success in securing a work position.

Program Details

The Degree and Credit Transfer Office provides a number of services for students continuing their education at Seneca, and for graduating students considering degree transfer options.

Through transfer agreements and institution partnerships, graduates of this Seneca College program may be eligible for credit at various post-secondary institutions. Please refer to the Degree Transfer Guide for more information.

Transfer Credit may be granted for courses deemed equivalent to courses at Seneca that have been completed at recognized postsecondary institutions. Additional information is available online.
