Program Description

For more than 20 years we have been an industry leader in the education of Estheticians. This program thoroughly prepares you with the knowledge and practical skills required in this dynamic sector of the beauty industry. As a first-year student you will acquire the skills employers are looking for: facials, manicures, pedicures and waxing. During your second year, you will study and practice advanced esthetics treatments including microdermabrasion, light therapies and various anti-aging treatments, enhancing your level of confidence and ensuring your ability to assist all clients with their personal skin care concerns.

Program Availability

Our Esthetics program offers a fall term start and a winter term start with different delivery formats delivery options. If starting the program in the fall term, you’ll have a summer break after second semester. If starting the program in the winter term you’ll take classes over four consecutive terms (winter, summer, fall and winter) without a break.

This Seneca program has been validated by the Credential Validation Service as an Ontario College Credential as required by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development.

Admission Requirements

Program Eligibility

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with:
    • Grade 12 English: ENG4(C) or ENG4(U)
  • OR Mature Student Status (age 19 or older) with the above prerequisite course(s), their equivalent(s) or appropriate Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) Certificate program credits (see Academic Upgrading).

Prior to Beginning of Term

  • Annual completion of the Clinical Preparedness permit including Mantoux Skin Test, Immunizations (MMR, Polio, Varicella, TD, Hepatitis B, Flu Shot).
  • A valid Standard First Aid Certificate with Adult CPR (minimum 16 hours)


  • Although not required for admission, a Senior Level Science Credit is recommended for your success in the program.

Program Details

The Degree and Credit Transfer Office provides a number of services for students continuing their education at Seneca, and for graduating students considering degree transfer options.

Through transfer agreements and institution partnerships, graduates of this Seneca College program may be eligible for credit at various post-secondary institutions. Please refer to the Degree Transfer Guide for more information.

Transfer Credit may be granted for courses deemed equivalent to courses at Seneca that have been completed at recognized postsecondary institutions. Additional information is available online.
