The Revit Essentials ROA is an accelerated program that allows students to quickly gain skills in Building Information Modelling. The program concentrates on the Revit software tools students need to construct schematic designs, visualization and detailed design/construction, 3D architectural modelling, parametric building design tools, and creating working drawings from models.

Revit MEP 2019 - Fundamentals



The course introduces students to the software's interface and basic HVAC, Electrical and Piping/Plumbing components that make the Revit MEP software powerful and flexible engineering modeling tool. Students become familiar with the tools necessary to create and document a complete parametric model. The practices are designed to take the student through the basics of a real world project, from linking an architectural model to an MEP template to using Revit MEP tools to design HVAC, electrical, plumbing and piping systems to create complete construction documents.

Revit Structure 2018 - Fundamentals


ATC711 - Revit Architecture - Fundamentals or Industry experience

This course is an introduction to Building Information modeling. The purpose is intended to cover the basic principles of Revit Structure technology and the Building Information modeling. Revit structure 2016 will be demonstrated with extensive hands-on experience in computer lab. Different topics will be covered such as: advantage of BIM, Revit interface, modeling tools, Building structure elements: columns, beams, beam systems, floors, Foundation, reinforcement, Toposurface, annotations, detailing, sheets and printing. The main objective of this course is to familiarize student with the needed tool to create a model and document a project using Revit structure.

Program Outcomes

Upon completion of the program, the student will be able to:

  • Organize dimensions in a meaningful manner as required by standards.
  • Develop higher-quality, more accurate architectural designs; use tools specifically built to support Building Information Modeling workflows.
  • Capture and analyze concepts, and maintain their vision through design, documentation, and construction.
  • Scan Revit model for collisions between elements; work with multiple users and save their work to a central file; collaborate on shared models across a WAN; streamline data management; and work from remote locations using a local server.
  • Crop non-rectangular model areas faster; easily manage elevation cut-line configuration; automatically display dimension values; annotate multiple elements with a single tag; define geometry and position for beams and braces; get greater control of schedule formatting; derive construction insight from design models; calculate/track detailed material quantities, display totals in current or load values, and create details from views of a 3D model.
